ABOUT
From a very early age, Shara has harbored a deep desire to create and share music with the world. The name “Shara” translates to "Of Song", which aligns perfectly with her divine purpose to connect with people through her music and messages. Now more than ever, Shara recognizes that music is her ultimate source of freedom and solace. She feels grateful to be able to follow her heart and share her music with others, inspiring them to feel and enjoy the beauty of her music.
At age 12, Shara achieved recognition in the professional theater and film/tv industry and showcased her talents at The Vineyard Theater and various venues throughout New York City. After earning EQUITY And SAG/AFTRA status and completing her BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she felt a strong pull towards her music career and decided to put her full intentions towards her passion for songwriting, performing, and recording.
She signed with several prominent Independent labels and collaborated with top tier music producers, booking agents, entertainment managers, lawyers, writers, and investors to further her music career. With the support of her dedicated team and unwavering support of her parents, Shara achieved Billboard success twice with her songs “I Will Carry You” and “RSVP”. Some of her most thrilling highlights included touring the entire country, performing in major cities, clubs, and festivals across the nation. She had the opportunity to open for Pat Benatar, sang solo at Lincoln Center, won an online talent competition called Famecast, winning $10,000, and also performed successfully on Showtime at The Apollo. Shara is not only a talented artist and performer but also an entrepreneur. She is a celebrity makeup artist and a licensed esthetician, proudly owning Shara Makeup Studio, an Upper East Side beauty destination specializing in cosmetics and skincare. She has an unwavering passion for the highest quality products, which is evident in her skincare line, Shara Skin, and her cosmetics line, Shara Cosmetics. (www.sharacosmetics.com)
In 2015 and 2017, Shara welcomed the most magnificent children into the world, Alexa and Ashton, bringing immense joy and love into her life. Shara embraced the role of parenting wholeheartedly and took a brief break from her music career to focus on raising her children. During that time, she dedicated her energy to building her brand and opened her first storefront studio.
In 2023, Shara’s biggest fan, her father Zachery, was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. During this most difficult time, Shara and her father spent precious moments together listening to the varied music she had recorded over the years, cherishing the memories they shared through music. Shara’s father passed away in June 2023 but she continually feels his loving presence around her more strongly than ever, guiding her and supporting her to share her gifts with the world in his honor. She believes there is no reason to hide our gifts, but rather to embrace and share them boldly, especially music and art, at every possible moment without hesitation.
